Challenge:

With more than $2 trillion in client assets, Charles Schwab has earned a reputation as an innovative leader in the financial services industry. So, when the time came to announce a major new product, the company knew they needed a way to say it big. The plan? Transform a portion of the San Francisco office’s exterior into a giant billboard — and do it without anyone noticing until the final reveal.

Solution:

After 140 hours of art production and 168 hours of continuous digital printing, the AAA Flag & Banner team produced a whopping 930 unique files and installation elements. Then, working during the night to keep the project hidden from onlookers, we applied these numerous elements to the building one window panel at a time. Forty-five days later, at the end of the campaign, we executed an equally seamless removal.

Results:

AAA Flag & Banner completed the project on time, on budget and exactly as it was designed. At more than 163 feet wide and seven stories high, Charles Schwab’s jumbo graphic made an impressive statement that was impossible to miss.
